Project Summary
The assembly of large multiprotein signalosome complexes in T cells is essential for signal amplification and diversification and thus for T cell mediated immune responses. One aspect of this highly versatile signalosome machinery that has not been investigated until now, is the disassembly of these multiprotein complexes upon removal of the T cell receptor stimulus. With our recently developed optogenetic T cell stimulation system, we are able to reversibly control ligand binding to the T cell receptor by light illumination and thereby aim to shed new light on the dynamic organisation of signalosome complexes within the CRC 1381.
