SFB 1381 PI Retreat 2025

Apr 11, 2025

What happens when you bring together the project leaders of a collaborative research center in a remote location for two days? In our case, it results in outstanding scientific presentations from the principal investigators and young investigator grantees, vibrant discussions, and fresh ideas for potential collaborations.

This summarizes perfectly the annual retreat of the SFB 1381 PIs, which took place in Müllheim on April 7 and 8, 2025. Additionally, an insightful workshop on unconscious bias, led by Jennifer J* Moos, sparked ideas on how to address biases in everyday life and promote greater diversity within our projects.

By the end of the retreat, all participants left with renewed energy and new perspectives to successfully navigate the second half of our current funding period, working together toward our shared goal: defining and understanding the dynamic processes behind the assembly and organization of cellular protein machineries.

As for the early career researchers in our SFB? They are looking forward to their own retreat at the end of November in Heidelberg!
